Shanahan Heat

Wednesday, July 13 2018 - Shanahan Ridge

Phase 1: In 100 degree heat, it is best to locate oneself in the shade. We found shade in the woods of Shanahan Ridge. Grateful for the shade of the trees, the group walked amiably up the Shanahan North trail. By the time we reached the south side, the sun had dipped behind the mountains, and the air had begun finally to cool.

Phase 2: A quick stop at Neptune Mountaineering, where a panel of the world's best women rock climbers were holding court; finishing up with dinner at Murphy’s.

Phase 3: Sweet Cow, ice cream all around.
