Orchid Ops
Thursday, April 12, 2019 — Bobolink Trail
Phase 1: Having postponed the Festivities to accommodate “Winter Storm Wesley” on Wednesday night, our intrepid explorers were back in full force on Thursday. C had heard reports of “white adder’s mouth orchid” in the area of the Bobolink Trail, so we kept our eyes peeled for anything resembling a flower. We spotted an abundance of cattle, joggers, rustic barns, raptors, and icicle-crested thistle, but alas, no orchids.
Phase 2: The Gondolier, a venerable Boulder establishment, now located in the “Meadows On the Parkway” shopping area at Baseline and Mohawk. Mangia mangia!
Phase 3: in situ; coffee, tiramisu, spumoni.
