Phase 1: Mary Miller Trail

Our fearless adventurers headed out to the desolate prairie, dodging the usual overpopulated trails to explore the Mary Miller Trail through the Carolyn Holmberg Preserve, in eastern Boulder County.

I noticed perhaps 15-20 other people on the trail, mostly singleton runners or cyclists. About a quarter of them had masks.

A brisk, pleasant breeze kept the temperature reasonable as we circumnavigated Stearns Lake, walking along top of the dam on the eastern shore, out to Highway 287 and back. We arrived back at the parking lot right at sunset.

Another successful, if abbreviated, BNO.
