Phase 1: Meadowlark Trail

D2 was on deck for the evening’s festivities, and S was trying to comprehend some fancy new infrastructure tools when the BNO email arrived: “What’s on the agenda tonight?” No one had any plans or inklings for the evening’s festivities. The decision was made to embark upon the venerable Meadowlark Trail.

Autumn had arrived this week, and with it, the season’s earlier sunsets. Embarking at 6:10pm, our fearless adventurers trekked ponderously along, and reached the halfway-point as the sun vanished behind the mountains. Other hikers and cyclists donned their headlamps and continued apace. Our intrepid but unilluminated explorers trekked onward, with only a pallid first quarter moon to light their way.

Bring your jackets and headlamps, all ye auspicious autumn hikers.

Phase 2, 3: Coalton Trailhead Picnic Area

Plenty of space at the picnic tables this evening. D forgot his P2! S and D2 carried on despite this sad misfortune. A bit chilly with a mild but persistent breeze.
