Once a December

Once a December
How did it get so late so
soon? Its night before its
afternoon.
— Dr. Seuss

A blustery afternoon as S met a nearly empty parking lot and noted that it does require a $5 fee for non-Boulder residents. (This could explain why the place was nearly empty.)

There was a ton of wind, and a few joggers in shorts and t-shirts. The very non-December-ish temperature was about 68ºF (20ºC to the rest of the world). S noticed a goodly amount of wind chill, though the joggers seemed oblivious, as were their dogs. Also the cattle here and there seemed unperturbed.

Shortly after sunset, an endless flock of geese tumbled eastward overhead, as though riding a randomly-shifting luge across the sky.

Phase 2 at home, as one might expect, for a leftover turkey sandwich with avocado. A summery sandwich for these balmy days of December.
