Up a Hill

We must be content to travel uphill, though it be hard and tiresome, and contrary to the natural bias of our flesh.
— Jonathan Edwards

S and D undertook a short walk up a hill and back down again. Along the way, a cyclist notified our fearless adventurers of a rainbow, and upon turning to look, there it was: a rainbow under a storm.

Also along the way: prairie dogs, mullein, grass, a herd of young cyclists careening downhill, a few cyclists heading uphill (some on e-bikes, some not), and a low-flying passenger jet presumably headed for BJC [1].

Questions of the Night

There were some questions of the night.

  1. What is the difference between a tendon and a ligament?

  2. What does “cruciate” mean in “anterior cruciate ligament?”

  3. Where is Scottie Pippin from?

  4. What were the questions of the night?

Notes

  1. We didn’t recognize the airplane tail logo, a sort of red X design. Turns out it was a JetSuite X flight from Bob Hope airport in Burbank to Colorado. See this link on FlightAware: https://www.flightaware.com/live/flight/JSX553/history/20230920/2150Z/KBUR/KBJC
