Marshall Valley Hat Trick

Wednesday, July 25, 2018 - Marshall Valley Trail

Phase 1. With ominous clouds overhead, we set some goals for the hike:

  1. Don't get struck by lightning.

  2. Don't fall on your face.

  3. Don't get rained on.

Along the way, we observed that if Goal 1 fails, Goals 2 and 3 also fail. We walked half a mile and stopped at a cattle gate. The clouds were getting darker. We decided to head back.

We reached the trailhead with all three goals intact: a Humpday Hat Trick.

Phase 2: Tandoori Grill: naan, vindaloo, chicken tikka masala, etc.

Phase 3: Sweet Cow Ice Cream, with screeching laughter from the next table. Apparently, everything is hilarious with ice cream.
