Some Ice
Sunday, October 6, 2019 — Long Lake
The temperature hovering around 42ºF on arrival at the parking lot, a blustery wind sent people scurrying for their gore-tex, winter hats, and gloves. Much calmer and warmer in the forest, and by the time I returned to the car, the gore-tex was packed away.
Encountered some ice at the edges of the lakes, and on the small tributaries leading to the lakes. Winter is coming, as they say.
