Rainy Gregory
Wednesday, June 5, 2019 — Gregory Canyon
Phase 1: Our somewhat fearless adventurers braved the cumulonimbus boiling overhead to ascend the rocky steps of Gregory Canyon. Huffing and puffing to within a quarter-mile of the trail’s apex, the group noted thunder rumbling beyond the ridge to the north, which was accompanied soon thereafter by a raindrop or two. Duly forewarned, our intrepid explorers began their descent; meanwhile, the rain increased, and the rocky trail grew slippery and treacherous. Nonetheless the group persevered, and reached the dampened trailhead ready for a warm Phase 2.
Phase 2: Tandoori Grill. Chicken tikka masala, chicken saag, dahl makhani, veggie korma, and naan.
Phase 3: A new discovery, Sip, just east of campus. A friendly neighborhood beer and coffee joint.
