The Last Days of April

Phase 1: Reverse Coalton
Our fearless adventurers set forth this balmy evening to walk the “other half” of the Coalton Trail. Traditionally these Wednesday walkers traverse the trail westward from its eastern terminus along McCaslin Road, to the mid-point and back; this evening, they took the opposite route, from the Coalton/High Plains intersection along Highway 128, to the middle and back. Numerous bicyclists at the outset, changing to hikers and families as the evening progressed.
Phase 2: BYO
Resurrecting Phase 2, the intrepid and hungry explorers retired to their respective tailgates for a P2 of beer and sandwiches. Meanwhile, a veritable trove of fellow hikers, bikers, and onlookers gathered alongside, tailgates agape, to enjoy the sunset on this final April Wednesday.
Phase 3: cancelled
No Coffee Phase tonight, but stay tuned for next week, when we bring thermoses, postcards, and books of haiku for an in-situ tailgate P3.
