Phase 1: Prairie and Flatiron Vista South Loop
S & D traversed counterclockwise, as advised by trailside signage, from the Prairie Vista Trail to Flatiron Vista South. Somewhat crowded conditions, with a full parking lot, numerous trail runners and cyclists; very few dogs, some crows, starlings, and magpies, and no cattle. Things are greening up, trying to look like spring.
Phase 2: Parking Lot
With the dulcet tones of Highway 93 immediately east of the parking lot, S & D broke out their coolers and sat down for a hearty Phase 2, consisting of the usual sandwich and brew. It was noted that grilling the sandwiches might morph them into restaurant fare; that is, we could make a sandwich for a couple of bucks, but grill it, add cilantro and guac, and a restaurant booth, and the same sandwich costs $16.50, with a side of chips.
Phase 3: Parking Lot, with Sunset
Water and coffee.
