Phase 1: Coalton Trail

With storm clouds threatening, our fearless adventurers headed into the setting sun. Not long after, the storm clouds parted north and south, allowing between them a pleasant Wednesday evening. Various adventurers jogged, cycled, and trudged here and there, mostly unmasked, with more wearing masks as the evening progressed.

No rattlesnakes tonight, but plenty of cows, and a sign at the trailhead advising hikers to “give cows space.” Perhaps they can graze the asteroid belt.

Phase 2: Coalton Trailhead

D pulled his car around to point the tailgate west, and phase 2 began. Sandwiches and light fare, as is the custom these days.

Phase 3: Coalton Trailhead Parking Lot

D had Folgers or Maxwell House or something, S had Allegro Medium Roast Mocha Java and a Mint Chocolate Brownie Lära Bar.

Question of the Night

  • What is object permanence?

Homophone of the Night

  • Lager (/ˈläɡər/)
    Logger (/ˈlôɡər,ˈläɡər/)

  • I suppose it depends whether one pronounces “logger” with a W, as in lwawgah, a la the Bronx.
