October Country

Sunday, October 27, 2019 — St. Francis Trail

After watching a plethora of photography videos this afternoon, I noticed a common theme: get outside (or more accurately, spend your photography budget on travel rather than gear). So off I went, on a dreary, gray day, up the St. Francis Trail, past Gethsemane (as I call the patch of barren trees along the ridge), down to the empty neighborhood swimming pool, and home.

Along the way, after trudging up the hill and catching my breath at the top, I noticed that all the bushes and grass were coated with a quarter inch of ice. So that’s what got photographed.

Not much else out there today but the wind.
