Phase 1: Oerman-Roche Trail

A nearly-blue moon1 cast long shadows across the path as our fearless adventurers met at the Oerman-Roche trail this last week of October, this last night of BNO 2020. Alongside the trail, haggard thistle clawed desperately at the passing legs of cyclists and joggers, then cowered away, tired, old, and irrelevant. No coyotes sang; no cows lowed. No geese, no larks, no crows. Just a breath of wind, a spectre of smoke, a whisper of winter.

Phase 2, 3: Parking Lot

The trio broke out their coolers and camp chairs, and sat down for sandwiches and brownies (courtesy of BC by way of D).

Questions of the Night

  1. Does the moon vary in brightness in different seasons?

  2. There was another question, but I can’t remember what it was.

Notes

  1. the “blue moon” occurs Saturday, Oct 31 2020, Halloween Night.
