Boulder Valley Ranch

Phase 1: C oversaw the Festivities this evening, starting the evening at Boulder Valley Ranch, near Boulder Reservoir. This was a new trail for S and D, who were excited to see what new adventures awaited.

A sign at the trailhead advised against mowing over any rodents or other wildlife, lest one contract tularemia. The group proceeded with caution, and avoided mowing or even looking askance at any ticks, spiders, and rabbits in the area, not to mention dodging mountain bikes, horses, and joggers. Best to be on the safe side..

Three miles and a pleasant conversation later, the group was back at the parking lot, safe and sound.

Phase 2: C recommended Thai Shi House (also a new venue for the group). Much amusement at the cabbage head growing on top of a mason jar. The food was great, definitely worth a return trip.

Phase 3: C skipped Phase 3 due to an early hike the next morning. D and S finished the evening's festivities with a sighting of Backgammon, playing backgammon, at Trident.
